Delhi election officer writes to EC over streaming of web series on PM Modi

The move comes days after the EC banned the screening of a biopic on the prime minister during the current poll period

Elections:The Delhi CEO has kept in touch with the Election Commission attracting its thoughtfulness regarding a web arrangement on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which went online not long ago and is being disclosed without consent from the Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC), authorities said.

The move comes days after the EC prohibited the screening of a biopic on the PM amid the present survey time frame, saying any such film that subserves motivation behind any political substance or individual ought not be shown in the electronic media.

In the interim, area decision officer (East) K Mahesh additionally kept in touch with the Delhi CEO asking whether the web arrangement has been affirmed by the MCMC, a senior authority said.

“The MCMC of the East Delhi body electorate had gotten an objection on April 11 through a complaint redressal entryway,” the authority said.

According to the objection, the web arrangement was being spilled in spite of headings from the EC forbidding such biopics, he said.

Sources from the Chief Electoral Officer, Delhi said the letter from the East locale may be sent to the EC in continuation of the letter officially sent by them.
