Jaishankar and Pompeo met at the Foggy Bottom home office of the State Department on Monday.
A readout of the gathering by the State Department was given two days after the fact.
The two chiefs “talked about a scope of issues, including the developing US-India key relationship, advancements in Kashmir, and worldwide issues of concern”, the State Department said.
“They additionally talked about designs to propel our reciprocal dreams of a free and open Indo-Pacific locale following the effective Quadrilateral Consultations on the edges of the UN General Assembly a week ago, said a readout of their gathering.
