Gujarat police to seek Interpol Blue Corner notice against Nithyananda

A Blue Corner notice makes it mandatory for member countries to share whereabouts of a person involved in a crime

Current Affairs News:The Gujarat police is going to move toward Interpol looking for a ‘Blue Corner notice’ to find questionable godman Nithyananda, an authority said here.

Ahmedabad Rural Police sent a letter to the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Thursday in such manner, a senior authority who is examining the claims of kidnapping and illicit constrainment against Nithyananda said.

“CID is the nodal office for getting Interpol to give Blue Corner notice. We have sent a letter to the CID for the issuance of notice to find Nithyananda who is as yet untraceable,” said the authority.

A Blue Corner notice makes it compulsory for part nations to share whereabouts of an individual engaged with a wrongdoing.

A month ago, a FIR was enrolled against Nithyananda after two young ladies disappeared from his ashram in Ahmedabad.

He was accused of grabbing and unfair constrainment of youngsters to make them gather gifts from devotees to run his ashram.

While police keep on searching for him, reports have developed that he has made a ‘Hindu country’, Kailaasa, with its very own banner and political arrangement, on an island close to Ecuador.
