JNU admin says doing security audit of hostels to check entry of outsiders

Current Affairs:The Jawaharlal Nehru University has attempted a security review of the inns to check remain of untouchables and unapproved understudies there, following the January 5 viciousness on the grounds, the JNU organization said on Saturday.

In a letter sent to lodging superintendents, Umesh Kadam, dignitary of understudies, requested that they tell all inn occupants to “observe the guidelines with respect to having visitors in the inn room according to the strategies and rules of IHA and give the essential subtleties in the structures in like manner.”

On the off chance that, any outcast/un-approved understudy/visitor is found remaining in the rooms, vital activity will be started against the occupant understudy according to Inter-Hall Administration (IHA) rules and the subtleties of such visitors will be sent to the Station House Officer, Police Station, Vasant Kunj North, New Delhi, the notification expressed.

On January 7, SHO of Vasant Kunj (North) Ritu Raj had kept in touch with the varsity, mentioning it to do a review of lodgings for pariahs or unapproved understudies.

In the interim, a college official said Vice-Chancellor M Jagadesh Kumar held a gathering with understudies picked arbitrarily and the V-C looked for their perspectives on the circumstance in the varsity.

In any case, the JNUSU claimed one of the understudies that the V-C met had a place with the ABVP.
