Current Affairs:• Over Rs 1 trillion interest in oil and gas fields just as treatment facility modernisation venture has been lined in Andhra Pradesh, Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan advised Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday.
The tasks incorporate Rs 26,264 crore modernisation of Visakhapatnam treatment facility continuously quarter of 2022-23, and Rs 68,000 crore in the improvement of seaward oil and gas fields, Pradhan said in tweets after the gathering.
Another Rs 10,000 crore is being put resources into onland fields in KG Basin in the state, he said.
“These oil and gas extends under various phases of execution will usher new day break of financial success for the individuals of Andhra Pradesh and further encourage simplicity of-living for residents in the state,” he tweeted.
He guaranteed Naidu, who hails from the state, of “optimizing finish of all oil and gas extends in the state”.
Independently, state-possessed Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC), which is creating oil and gas fields in the KG bowl, in an announcement said its Chairman and Managing Director Shashi Shanker close by Pradhan informed Naidu of the organization’s seaward and coastal ventures.
“An expected speculation of Rs 68,000 crore in seaward activities and Rs 10,000 crores in Onshore ventures have been arranged by the ONGC in Andhra Pradesh,” it said.
At the gathering, Naidu looked for the status of setting up of a greenfield petrochemical complex at Kakinada, with a venture of around Rs 32,000 crore for delivering 1.7 million tons per year of synthetic concoctions. The venture is being embraced by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and GAIL India Ltd, with the help of the Andhra Pradesh government.
Naidu was educated that “the Center is excited about actualizing this petrochemicals venture as ahead of schedule as could be allowed and is anticipating the express government’s reaction on the particular money related modalities for financing the task, as it is being executed together in association with the state government,” the announcement said.
On Naidu’s question on a treatment facility modernisation venture, Pradhan educated that the task execution is going all out.
