Chidambaram calls for mass movement if Muslims are sent to detention camps

Talking at the JNU grounds here, the previous Union clergyman said the CAA was a result of the “NRC disaster” in Assam that kept 19 lakh individuals separate from the archive.

Asserting that the NRC, CAA and NPR were “firmly associated” to one another, Chidambaram stated, “The CAA was brought because of the NRC disaster in Assam and the resistance to the CAA offered path to the NPR.”
