Nirbhaya case: HC reserves order; convict claims was absent during incident

Current Affairs : The Delhi High Court on Wednesday held request on the supplication of Mukesh Singh, one of the four death-row convicts in the Nirbhaya assault and murder case, testing a preliminary court request rejecting his request that he was not in the national capital when the wrongdoing occurred on December 16, 2012.

Equity Brijesh Sethi held the request in the wake of hearing contentions of advice of the convict and the Delhi government.

The preliminary court had expelled Mukesh’s request and solicited the Bar Council from India to give fitting sensitisation exercise to his insight.

On March 5, a preliminary court gave new warrants for holding tight March 20 at 5.30 am of all convicts for the situation – Mukesh (32), Pawan Gupta (25), Vinay Sharma (26) and Akshay Singh (31).
