Covid-19: Railways to donate Rs 151 cr to PM-CARES Fund, says Piyush Goyal

Current Affairs  The Railway service will give Rs 151 crore to PM-CARES store to help in battling the coronavirus danger, Union priest Piyush Goyal said on Sunday.

“Following PM’s call, I, Suresh Angadi, will give one month’s compensation, 13 lakh rly, PSU workers will give one day’s pay, equivalent to Rs 151 cr to PM-CARES support,” Goyal, who is the Railway serve, tweeted.

The Union government has set up an open beneficent trust under the name of Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund

(PM CARES Fund) in the wake of the coronavirus flare-up.

PM Narendra Modi is the administrator of the trust and its individuals incorporate Defense serve, Home priest and Finance Minister.
