Current Affairs : Around 9,000 Tablighi Jamaat individuals and their essential contacts have been isolated till now the nation over considering the coronavirus disease, a senior home service official said on Thursday.
Punya Salila Srivastava, a joint secretary in the Union Home Ministry, told correspondents during a day by day preparation that out of around 2,000 such Tablighi Jamaat individuals in Delhi, 1,804 have been moved to isolate focuses while 334 symptomatic people have been admitted to emergency clinics.
She said these numbers are a consequence of a “monstrous exertion” that was embraced by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) as a team with states to distinguish Tablighi Jamaat laborers or individuals in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
