“All tasks suspended at Kolkata Airport till 5 am tomorrow taking into account tornado Amphan including unique flights, which were operational taking into account COVID-19 pandemic,” the Airport Director expressed.
Indian Coast Guard boats and airplane have been kept ready and waiting for organization to embrace region sweep, search and salvage and aid projects.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) expressed that twister Amphan will “move north-northeastwards and cross West Bengal-Bangladesh coast among Digha and Hatiya near Sunderbans during evening to night today with a breeze speed of 155-165 kmph blasting to 185 kmph.
