IIT researchers collaborate with industry partner to develop AI-powered solution for instant fact checking

Current Affairs : In the midst of the covid-19 pandemic and a storm of phony news and unsubstantiated messages skimming on different web based life stages, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur has built up an Artificial Intelligence (AI)- fueled answer for moment actuality checking.

Titled ‘Satyanweshi’ (‘searcher of truth’ in Sanskrit), the AI chatbot is customized for finding and checking genuine data about covid-19.

As indicated by Prof Swaprava Nath of the IIT Kanpur Department of software engineering and designing (CSE), it has been created by a gathering of specialists and understudies as a team with an industry accomplice.

A chatbot is a product application to lead an online discussion by means of content or content to-discourse rather than an immediate contact/discussion with a live human operator.

“Following covid-19 pandemic, an enormous measure of data is coasting on the web based life, including Whatsapp. An enormous piece of such data is unconfirmed, deceiving or counterfeit. Nonetheless, individuals regularly trust those unsubstantiated messages,” Nath watched.

It checks a few truth checking sites when the client types in a question, and shows the outcomes alongside their appraisals and the site/URLs for realness of data.
