The coronavirus positive case was accounted for on the Chennai-Coimbatore IndiGo flight 6E 381.
The case was found during testing at the Coimbatore air terminal.
IndiGo affirmed the episode saying that no traveler was situated close to the individual and the team working the airplane has been grounded and been approached to remain in isolate for 14 days.
“He was situated on-board the airplane with every prudent step including face veil, face shield and gloves, similar to different travelers. Also, nobody else was situated in his region, essentially diminishing the chance of transmission. All our airplane are normally sterilized as a standard working method, and the airplane working this flight was additionally promptly cleaned according to convention,” the carrier said in an announcement.
At first, the traveler was put under institutional isolate at the Vinayak Hotel in Coimbatore. Presently he has been admitted to the ESI emergency clinic.
