Come to office once a week or face pay cut: Maharashtra to govt employees

The order will come into effect from June 8. The coronavirus-triggered lockdown is in force till June 30.

Current Affairs : The Maharashtra government has made it obligatory for all administration representatives to answer to work once per week in the midst of the coronavirus lockdown, bombing which they should confront pay cut.

According to a warning gave by extra boss secretary (fund) Manoj Saunik, all administration divisions have been solicited to set up a roaster from officials and workers subsidiary to them.

“All workers, with the exception of those on authorized leave or clinical leave, should be in office for one day in seven days mandatorily,” the request read.

The notice additionally expressed that a disciplinary move will be made by office heads against those representatives who leave the workplace without consent during the lockdown.

It additionally cautioned that a worker will lose pay for a whole week on the off chance that he/she stays missing during the appointed day.

Be that as it may, on the off chance that a representative must be available in the workplace for over a day consistently, his compensation would be cut uniquely when he stayed missing, the warning said.

The request will become effective from June 8. The coronavirus-activated lockdown is in power till June 30.

The notice was given after it became exposed that representatives were not answering to work during the lockdown and some had even left for the places where they grew up.
