Bihar: Election for nine legislative council seats to be held on July 6

The counting will take place on July 6 evening itself after the conclusion of the polling as per laid down norms

Current Affairs : Races to nine Bihar Legislative Council seats, conceded because of the episode of coronavirus, will presently be hung on July 6.

As indicated by an Election Commission proclamation, nine individuals from the Bihar Legislative Council had resigned on May 6. On April 3, the Commission had declared delay of the surveys due to the coronavirus pandemic and the countrywide lockdown.

As per new dates, the notice for the decisions would be given on June 18 and the surveys will be hung on July 6.

The checking will happen on July 6 night itself after the finish of the surveying according to set down standards. Individuals from the Bihar Legislative Assembly (MLAs) will choose nine new MLCs in the races.

MLCs are generally chosen by four sorts of voters – MLAs, Graduates, Teachers and individuals from nearby specialists.
