Punjab to set up micro-containment zones in areas with five or more cases

Current Affairs : The Punjab government on Wednesday said it has chosen to make ‘small scale control zone’ in places where at least five Covid-19 cases have been accounted for to contain the sickness.

It added that the choice to differentiate among control and miniaturized scale regulation territories will be taken by a board of trustees involving the common specialist, region disease transmission specialists, nodal officials from the organization, among others.

“To contain the illness in the particular region, it has been seen to build up a miniaturized scale regulation zone where at least 5 instances of coronavirus are accounted for,” a tweet by the official handle of the Punjab government read.

“The choice to separate control and small scale regulation zones to be taken by a board involving the common specialist, region disease transmission experts, a nodal official from the organization and a nodal official from branch of PSM, clinical universities,” it included.

Through a prior tweet, the administration had educated that “Locale Technical Committees headed by common specialists have been established to differentiate precise limits of a particular zone in all regions” to characterize control zones with huge episodes of Covid-19 cases and exercises which are to be permitted in them.

As of Wednesday morning, Punjab had 3,371 affirmed cases, including 2,461 relieved and released patients. The loss of life in the state remains at 72, as per the Union Health Ministry.
