Pakistan summons Indian diplomat over ‘ceasefire violations’ along LoC

Current Affairs : Pakistan on Thursday brought Indian Charge d’Affaires Gaurav Ahluwalia and enlisted its dissent over the affirmed truce infringement by the Indian powers along the Line of Control (LoC).

Chief General (South Asia and SAARC) Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri enlisted a “solid dissent over the truce infringement on June 17, 2020, the Foreign Office said in an announcement.

It said four people were slaughtered and one genuinely harmed because of “aimless and unmerited terminating”.

The Indian powers along “the LoC and the Working Boundary (WB) have constantly been focusing on non military personnel populated zones with gunnery shoot, substantial gauge mortars and programmed weapons, it affirmed.

“The Indian government must understand that its flippant strategies and one-sided activities are progressively jeopardizing harmony and security in the area and must act capably in light of a legitimate concern for territorial harmony and dependability,” the FO cited Chaudhri as saying.

He called upon the Indian side to regard the 2003 Ceasefire Understanding; explore this and other such episodes of truce infringement and keep up harmony along the LoC and the WB.

Prior, the Pakistan Army said that in any event four regular people were slaughtered in supposed terminating by the Indian powers in Nikial and Bagsar segments along the LoC.

A military representative said that the Pakistan Army troops reacted successfully to the Indian terminating.
