Current Affairs : In a significant reshuffle, the Tamil Nadu government has reported exchanges and postings of 39 IPS officials with quick impact including AK Viswanathan, Greater Chennai Police Commissioner, who has been moved and designated as the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP, Operations) Chennai.
While Mahesh Kumar Agarwal, ADGP (Operations) has been given the charge of the new official for Greater Chennai Police.
Upwards of 39 IPS officials, including Chennai Police Commissioner, have been moved or advanced in the state.
A request gave by the Home (SC) Department, Government of Tamil Nadu dated on June 30, expressed the advancements, moves and postings of the 39 IPS officials with quick impact.
