Govt sets up team to coordinate probe against three Gandhi family trusts

A special director in the Enforcement Directorate will head the team

Current Affairs : A between pastoral group has been set up by the legislature to facilitate test into the supposed infringement of different laws like illegal tax avoidance and remote commitments by three Nehru-Gandhi family connected trusts, including the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation (RGF).

A Home Ministry representative said an uncommon chief in the Enforcement Directorate will head the group.

“MHA sets up between clerical board to arrange examinations concerning infringement of different legitimate arrangements of PMLA, Income Tax Act, FCRA and so forth by Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust and Indira Gandhi Memorial Trust. Spl. Dir of ED will head the board of trustees,” a home service representative tweeted.
