UN Secretary-General praises India over work in field of renewable energy

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had last year in September inaugurated a 50 kilowatt ‘Gandhi Solar Park’ at the Headquarters of the United Nations

Current Affairs : UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has commended India for its work in the field of sustainable power source.

Talking at International Energy Agency Clean Energy Transition Summit, the UN Secretary General expressed that “sun powered closeouts have seen ubiquity in the midst of the stature of the pandemic” and noticed that “India fills in as genuine model”.

The Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations, New York tweeted a 13-second video of the UN Secretary General and stated: “Secretary General Antonio Guterres talking at the #IEASummit said – “The seeds of progress are there. Sustainable power source is the main vitality source expected to develop in 2020. Sun based sales have seen prominence in the midst of the tallness of the pandemic. India fills in as a genuine model”.
