Covid-19: Pvt hospitals under CGHS will charge rates fixed by Delhi govt

Current Affairs : Private medical clinics empanelled under the Central Government Health Scheme will charge from recipients the rates recommended by the Delhi government for Covid-19 treatment till their states fix its own charges.

An office notice gave by the CGHS chief said the rates for treatment of Covid-19 in private-empanelled medical clinics for CGHS recipients will be according to the bundle rate endorsed by the state government concerned.

“In the event that, no such rate has been recommended by the state government in any CGHS city, the rates endorsed by the legislature of NCT Delhi, will be appropriate till rates are informed by the concerned state government,” the reminder dated July 10 read.

The Delhi government a month ago gave a request fixing the expense of a Covid-19 separation bed in any private medical clinic in the scope of Rs 8,000-10,000 and an ICU bed with ventilator at Rs 15,000-18,000 every day.

As indicated by the notice, the Health Ministry got portrayals with respect to explanations and rules on rates appropriate for treatment at private medicinal services associations empanelled under the CGHS, following which the issue was checked on.

For non-Covid-related treatment in private emergency clinics empanelled under the plan, the typical CGHS bundle rate will be acceptable, the update expressed.

The Covid-19 test will be allowed according to the ICMR rules and the CGHS rate will be according to the rates fixed by state governments or genuine, whichever might be less.

“On the off chance that the state government has not informed such rates, the rates endorsed by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) are appropriate till rates are told by state government,” it said.
