UP govt hands over assets case against Vikas Dubey’s aide to I-T Dept, ED

Uttar Pradesh government handed over to the Income Tax Department and the Enforcement Directorate a case of alleged ill-gotten assets acquired by Jai Kant Bajpai, an aide of slain gangster Vikas Dubey

Current Affairs : The Uttar Pradesh government on Monday gave over to the Income Tax Department and the Enforcement Directorate an instance of supposed badly gotten resources obtained by Jai Kant Bajpai, a helper of killed hoodlum Vikas Dubey.

A Home Department representative said the body of evidence against Bajpai with respect to his unlawful resources had all the earmarks of being by all appearances valid, consequently the state government chose to hand over the case to the I-T Department and the ED.

The state government encouraged the two organizations to notify it of the activity taken for the situation.

Bajpai and Dubey’s another helper Prashant Shukla were captured after a bombed assault at a refuge of Dubey in Kanpur prompted the slaughtering of eight police faculty.

“Vikas Dubey had called Bajpai on July 1, after which two blamed met him the following day and offered Rs 2,00,000 and 25 guns. After the episode on July 3, they additionally helped him escape in three vehicles. In any case, because of police sharpness, they chose to leave the vehicle on July 4,” the police had asserted in an official statement.

A FIR was been enrolled against them under various areas of the IPC, Criminal Law Amendment Act, and the Arms Act.
