Waqf Board forms trust for mosque in Ayodhya, construction to begin soon

15-member trust to be headed by Waqf Board chairperson Zufar Ahmad Faruqi

Current Affairs : Seven days before the establishment laying of Ram sanctuary, the Sunni Waqf Board too framed a trust for the development of a mosque in Ayodhya. The name of the trust would be Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation.

The Supreme Court in its decision on the Ram Janambhoomi-Babri Masjid debate had requested the designation of 5 sections of land of land to the Sunni Waqf Board for the development of a mosque. Sunni Waqf board was the applicant for the situation.

Following court request, the state government had apportioned 5 sections of land of land to the waqf board at Rounahi in Ayodhya area.

The Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Waqf Board on Wednesday declared the arrangement of trust for the mosque and named 15 individuals. The (CEO) of the board will be the organizer trustee, while Zufar Ahmad Faruqui will be the central trustee and director.

The waqf board has named Adnan Farooq Shah as the VP of the trust and Athar Hussain as the treasurer. Different individuals from the trust are Faez Aftab, Mohammad Junaid Siddiqui, Shaikh Saiduzzuman, Mohammad Rashid and Imran Ahmad.

The board will co-select six individuals in the trust later on. The trust will have a limit of 15 individuals.

As indicated by the administrator of the Waqf Board, Zufar Ahmad Faruqi, the trust would before long settle on the date of the development.

The board in its previous gathering had chosen to develop a mosque and different offices for people in general on the 5 sections of land of land allocated to it by the state government in Ayodhya.

Prior there was distinction of sentiment among the individuals from the trust over tolerating the express government’s proposal of 5 sections of land of land rather than Babri Masjid.
