Announced in Budget 2020, Kisan Rail to begin services from Friday

The train will reach Danapur at 6.45 pm on the next day, covering 1,519 km in 31.45 hours

Current Affairs : The railroads will start its Kisan Rail administrations to move perishables from August 7, it said on Thursday, including the primary such train, conveying vegetables and organic products, would run between Devlali in Maharashtra and Danapur in Bihar.

Money Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had declared this activity in her Budget discourse prior this year imagining setting up of a ‘Kisan Rail’ through the open private-organization (PPP) mode for a virus gracefully chain to ship short-lived products.

“As reported in the flow year’s Budget to begin ‘Kisan Rail’ for giving a consistent flexibly chain of short-lived produce, the Ministry of Railways is presenting the first Kisan Rail from Devlali to Danapur on August 7 at 11 am on a week after week basis…,” the service said in an announcement.

The train will reach Danapur at 6.45 pm on the following day, covering 1,519 km in 31.45 hours, it said.

Focal Railway, Bhusawal Division is fundamentally an agro-based division and Nasik and the encompassing area produces enormous amounts of new vegetables, natural products, blossoms, different perishables, onions and other agro items.

These perishables are primarily moved to zones around Patna, Allahabad, Katni, Satna and others.

The Kisan Rail has been given planned ends at Nasik Road, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Satna, Katni, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Nagar and Buxar.
