PM Modi said the new NEP is not just a circular and its implementation will be like a “mahayagya” which will need strong determination and collective efforts from all stakeholders

Current Affairs : PM Narendra Modi on Friday said the new National Education Policy (NEP) isn’t only a roundabout and its usage will resemble a “mahayagya” which will require solid assurance and aggregate endeavors from all partners.
Alluding to the approach as the establishment of the “new India”, he said the NEP focusses “on the best way to think”, while the nation’s instruction framework so far accentuated on “what to think”.
“The new instruction strategy isn’t only a roundabout. The activity doesn’t end with the warning of the strategy, it must be effectively actualized, for which a solid assurance is required from everybody. This resembles a ‘mahayagya’ for building the present and eventual fate of the nation,” Modi said.
He offered the comments while conveying the debut address at the ‘Conference on Transformational Reforms in Higher Education under National Education Policy’ by means of a video connect.
The conference is being sorted out by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) and the University Grants Commission (UGC).
