A security ring, including NSG expert marksmen, first class SWAT commandos and kite catchers, will be put around the Red Fort from where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the country.
More than 300 cameras have been introduced for security and their recording is being observed nonstop, police said. There will be around 4,000 security work force at the Red Fort and they will remain in adherence with social removing standards.
The security in and around railroads stations has likewise been strengthened.
“Security staff have been conveyed at railroads stations and along the tracks. There will be no development of trains from 6.45 am to 8.45 am on Independence Day on specific tracks close to the Red Fort due to VVIP development,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Railways) Harendra Kumar Singh said.
On Thursday morning, a full-dress practice of the 74th Independence Day festivities was held at the Red Fort.
Faculty from the Army, Navy and Air Force walked over the Mughal-period structure.
