Passengers from India can arrive in Hong Kong only if they have a Covid-19 negative certificate from a test done 72 hours prior to the journey
Current Affairs : Hong Kong has restricted Air India trips till the finish of August after certain travelers on one of its flights tried positive for Covid-19 post appearance, a senior government official said on Wednesday.
Travelers from India can show up in Hong Kong just on the off chance that they have a Covid-19 negative declaration from a test completed 72 hours before the excursion, as indicated by rules gave by the Hong Kong government in July.
Additionally, all worldwide travelers are required to take a post-flight Covid-19 test at the air terminal premises in Hong Kong.
“A few travelers who arrived in Hong Kong on one of Air India flights as of late tried Covid-positive post appearance,” the administration official said.
“The Hong Kong government has restricted all Air India trips till August-end,” the authority included.
Air India didn’t react to the PTI’s solicitation for input.
The carrier had said on Twitter on Monday: “Because of limitations forced by Hong Kong Authorities, AI 310/315, Delhi Hong Kong Delhi of eighteenth August 2020 stands deferred. Next update in such manner will be implied soon. Travelers may please contact Air India Customer Care for help.”
Other than India, a pre-flight Covid-19 negative test outcome authentication is obligatory for all travelers originating from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, South Africa and the United States, as per the Hong Kong government’s guidelines.
