Current Affairs :Shiv Sena pioneer Sanjay Raut on Thursday said the Congress ought to restore itself as the nation needs a solid resistance. 

Conversing with journalists, Raut who is the chief proofreader of gathering mouthpiece ‘Saamana’, said that Rahul Gandhi is the main head in the Congress, who has “consistent worthiness” in the gathering. 

“Sonia Gandhi is maturing and I don’t see Priyanka Gandhi in full-time governmental issues. There are numerous senior heads in the gathering, because of whom Rahul Gandhi isn’t having the option to work,” he said. 

“‘Saamana’ has advanced its remain on the issue. As a writer and editorial manager, I don’t see a non-Gandhi pioneer in the Congress as the gathering president,” he said. 

“The nation requires a solid resistance and the Congress has a dish India personality. The gathering ought to recoup from the current strife and resume work,” the Sena MP said. 

Raut’s comments come in the background of the debate over the letter composed by 23 Congress pioneers, to Sonia Gandhi, in which they called for broad changes inside the gathering, for example, making some “full memories, dynamic and obvious” initiative, devolution of forces to state units and patching up the CWC in accordance with the gathering constitution. 

The Congress Working Committee (CWC) on Monday consistently encouraged Sonia Gandhi to remain on as the gathering boss till another president is selected and approved her to realize authoritative changes to take on the difficulties inside. 

In a publication in ‘Saamana’ on Thursday, the Shiv Sena claimed that the letter composed by 23 senior Congress pioneers to Sonia Gandhi was a “trick to polish off Rahul Gandhi’s initiative”.
