Jamia professor appointed consultant architect for mosque in Ayodhya’s

Professor SM Akhtar has been appointed as the consultant architect for the mosque to be built in Ayodhya’s Dhannipur village by the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF) trust

Current Affairs :Educator SM Akhtar, Head, Faculty of Architecture, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University has been delegated as the specialist draftsman for the mosque to be underlying Ayodhya’s Dhannipur town by the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF) trust. 

The Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Waqf Board had made the IICF, a 15-part trust, for building a mosque and different offices on the land apportioned in Ayodhya by the Uttar Pradesh Government on the Supreme Court’s guidelines. 

In the Ayodhya-Babri Masjid land case, the Supreme Court had, on November 9 a year ago, guided the Central government to hand over the site at Ayodhya for the development of a sanctuary and set up a trust for the equivalent.

In February, the Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Waqf Board acknowledged the five sections of land of land given to development of the mosque in Ayodhya.
