UN Secretary General has condoled the death of former president Pranab Mukherjee and recalled with appreciation his commitment to reform, multilateralism and support to the world organisation
Current Affairs:UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has mourned the demise of previous president Pranab Mukherjee and reviewed with thankfulness his duty to change, multilateralism and backing to the world association.
Mukherjee kicked the bucket on Monday evening following a 21-day fight with numerous diseases. He was 84.
The Secretary-General scholarly with pity of the death of previous President Mukherjee and he communicates his most earnest sympathies to his family just as to the legislature and individuals of India for this misfortune,” Spokesman for the Secretary-General, Stphane Dujarric told PTI.
The Secretary-General “reviews with thankfulness” Mukherjee’s “promise to change, multilateralism and backing to the United Nations,” Dujarric said.
