Elections:Very nearly 81 percent of juices and beverages being sold on roadside slows down in Mumbai are dangerous for human utilization, as indicated by the city body.

The wellbeing division of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation a month ago investigated a few slows down on roadsides selling lemonade, sugarcane squeeze and ice pops.

“Out of tor 968 examples of such beverages gathered from different slows down, 786 (around 81.1 percent) were observed to be dangerous and unfit for utilization,” a senior metro official said on Wednesday.

The urban body has chosen to act intense against merchants selling such unhygienic beverages which may cause water-borne maladies among shoppers, he said.

“The community authorities have been routinely examining roadside slows down and devastating such defiled beverages. We would prefer not to take any risk with individuals’ wellbeing,” he said.

The Central Railway in March prohibited clearance of lemon and other syrup-based juices at nourishment slows down under its ward after a video of such a beverage being readied unhygienically turned into a web sensation via web-based networking media.
